Day 15: I’m gonna die here

Today we left for our home stay. It was a six hour drive! So much traveling. Anyway, Sarah, John Paul and I binged avatar. We had a system down. Watch three episodes, nap then watch another three episodes, nap. Great system. We stopped at the Chinguus Khan statue. It was boxy and metal. We climbed to the top. So the statue is him riding on a horse and the opening where you can look at the view is where his crotch meets the horse. So I stood in Chinguus Khans crotch. Joy. It was an amazing view though. The landscape. Not the crotch. After we went back down, we had some lunch. I wasn’t super hungry though.

Lunch was done and we were off again. The bus ride was okay. I got some good naps in. I almost fell off the seat a lot due to the bumpiness of the road but I didn’t fall. Success. We got to the camp and it was literally in the middle of nowhere. Like I could take pictures of it from different directions and it would all look the same. Oh look north, grass. South, grass. East, grass. West, you get the point. Not much around. But it’s super nice to be out in nature. The yurts are the same but the inside just has an animal pelt in it as a sleeping mat. That’s okay though, I’m embracing the uncomfortableness.

We had an early dinner then went for a walk. It was really nice weather, cool and windy. We had to jump over a river and I did it the first time but the second time. No bueno. I got soaked. Thank the lord for fast dry clothes. Oskar was also going shoe bottom hunting while we were walking. There was a surprising amount of shoe bottoms to be found. When we got back, Madison had to deal with spiders on her bag. I think I’m gonna die this week.

Before bed Nathalie had a spider on her shoulder and we all started screaming and Nathalie ended up taking off her shirt to get it off. I am gonna die. Remember me fondly. My gravestone needs a picture of how to train your dragon.
