Day 12: Yak Alarms
Today was supposed to be our chill do whatever day but it didn’t exactly go as planned. I woke up to seagulls yelling and yaks snorting/farting right outside our yurt. Great alarm. It was really chilly so I just tacoed till breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style and really good. There was ramen out and Nutella that was also white chocolate. Yummy. I was chilling with my yummy breakfast, everything’s rainbows and unicorns except the weather, when Leah tells us we have to leave this afternoon because we don’t want to be flooded in. Total rainbow and unicorn killer.
After breakfast I went to go pack then, Annabelle, Nick, Nathalie, Madison and I went for a walk along the lake. It was kinda cold but relaxing just to be in the nature. I skipped some rocks and got my high score of six. Boom shakalaka. Then all my other rocks face planted. But I got six so my life is complete. The walk was pretty short since we all had buttleg injuries from riding for so long.
After the walk, I shot some arrows. I felt like Merida but shot like a yak. But I looked cool. Then we all went to the nearby tiny supermarket for snacks. I got ice cream which I though was vanilla. I’m pretty sure it was alcohol flavored. I seriously need to learn vanilla in every language so I don’t keep making that mistake. Once we got back and had a quick lunch, we went to do some last minute packing only to be told that the bus will be late and won’t come for another hour or more. We’ve had so many traveling malfunctions that we’re all kinda numb to the disappointment of it.
While we were waiting some of us decided to hike after we napped. The hike was nice even if it was rainy. We got to the top bad the bag finally arrived, about four hours late. But there anyways. After we packed everything up we just sat, slept and chilled in the bus for about three hours till we got to the gur camp we were at when we first arrived in Murun.
